Educate on the Implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and Monitor for Changes
Educate heart disease community members on the continued rollout of the IRA and monitor for legislative and regulatory changes in the next Congress and administration.
Advocate for the Safe Step Act
Support the passage of the Safe Step Act (H.R. 2603 / S. 652) and other policies that make exceptions for “step therapy.”
Support Alternate Funding Programs & Pharmacy Benefit Manager Reform
Continue to support and advocate for policies that benefit patients and would allow for access and coverage of the drugs and therapies they need.
Build a Coalition Around Medicare Advantage and Part D Redesign
Work with healthcare community partners to share resources to educate the heart disease community about changes being made to federal prescription drug coverage programs.
Advocate for Expanded Medicare Coverage for Anti-Obesity Medicines (AOMs
Support and advocate for passage of legislation, such as the Treat and Reduce Obesity Act, that expand Medicare coverage of intensive behavioral therapy and drugs used for the treatment of obesity.
Advocate for the Congenital Heart Futures Reauthorization Act
