Everyone has felt it. That little tickle in your throat. You start to feel a little achy and cold. You don’t want to admit it, but soon it’s undeniable. You are sick. The only question left to answer is, do you have a cold, or have you been infected by influenza (the flu)?
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you may have the flu.
- Fever over 100.4 F (38 C)
- Aching muscles
- Chills and sweats
- Headache
- Dry, persistent cough
- Fatigue and weakness
- Nasal congestion
- Sore throat
Most people who get the flu can take care of themselves at home by staying hydrated and getting rest, but if you are a heart patient or have other medical conditions that put you at risk of complications, you should see your medical provider as soon as possible.
