As the nations premier peer-support program for patients with heart disease and their families, The Mended Hearts, Inc. has served millions by providing support and education, bringing awareness to issues facing those living with heart disease, and advocating to improve quality of life across the lifespan. We believe that empowered patients and families are powerful voices in developing health care policy and creating rules, regulations, and procedures that work for everyone.
Expanding on our ongoing efforts to empower patient and family voices, The Mended Hearts, Inc. has created The Mended Hearts, Inc. ACTION NETWORKa community of patients and caregivers dedicated to championing patients, families, and researchers.

MHI ACTION NETWORK Champions
The MHI ACTION NETWORK Champions are an exclusive group of dedicated advocates who drive our efforts as Champions for the heart patient community.
MHI ACTION NETWORK Champions:
Share their experiences with legislators, regulators, and other stakeholders to express the importance of research funding and raising heart diseaseincluding congenital heart diseaseawareness
Participate in monthly training webinars on various advocacy topics
Engage with other MHI Action Network members in a closed social media group, building a community of like-minded advocates
Commit 2 to 2.5 hours a week to further Mended Hearts& Mended Little Hearts’ mission and advocacy efforts
We plan to recruit classes of 30-40 Champions each yearmake sure to join the MHI ACTION NETWORK to get updates on when the application will open for 2024!
